Germoloids Ointment 25ml
What does it do?
This medicine is used to relieve the symptoms of pain, swelling and irritation associated with piles (haemorrhoids) and anal itching (pruritus ani).
Check before you take this medicine
Do not use this product if:
• you are allergic to the actives or any of the other ingredients listed above. Wool fat and propylene glycol may cause local skin reactions (eg. contact dermatitis)
Please talk to your doctor first if:
- you continually suffer from haemorrhoids or have severe haemorrhoids
- you experience excessive bleeding
- you are Pregnant or Breast-feeding
You may use this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding but as with all medicines at this time, you should discuss it with your doctor first.
Germoloids Ointment contains an off white ointment containing Zinc Oxide Ph Eur 6.6% w/w and Lidocaine Hydrochloride Ph Eur 0.7% w/w as the active ingredients.
It also contains: yellow soft paraffin, wool fat, methyl salicylate, propylene glycol and menthol.

- Not recommended for children under 12 years
If you do not get better go and see your doctor
Most people using Germoloids Ointment find it causes them no problems. However, rarely some people experience increased local irritation, burning sensations or rashes.
If you are concerned about this, or if this product affects you in any other way, stop using it and talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
