Madame Gres, the founder of Parfums Gres, was President of "La Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne" and in 1976, she is the first to be awarded "Dé d'Or de la Haute Couture". In 1980 she is considered "The most elegant woman in the world" and in the same year Madame Grès became also a "Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur" for her contribution to France's glory worldwide.
